BRICS What happened?- Latin American Society and Economics Society

  • Edinburgh University Business School Lecture Theatre 1A (map)

The Latin American Society and the Economics Society invite you to a guest lecture by Professor Martin Fransman, from the School of Economics, about the BRICS countries.

BRICS is an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The event aims to explain what has happened to these countries during the 16 years since this term was coined, as China and India continue to consolidate their position in the global economic scenario while Brazil, Russia and South Africa face an uncertain future.
